Yu Lijun

Professor

Introduction

Yu Lijun serves as the Research Fellow and Head of the Fifth Research Department at the International Centre on Space Technologies for Natural and Cultural Heritage under the auspices of UNESCO (HIST). Her research focuses on remote sensing archaeology, with particular emphasis on archaeological site detection, archaeological big data, and the spatial planning and assessment of historical and cultural landscapes. She has led more than ten major projects, including international cooperation projects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and technology-based archaeological projects supported by various ministries and local governments. She has published over thirty academic papers in domestic and international journals, co-authored four monographs, contributed to three technical standards, and obtained more than ten software copyrights, invention patents, and data-related intellectual property rights.
