
Abstract: This book focuses on the world natural heritage site "Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries" as its research subject, addressing the challenges faced in the conservation of world natural heritage sites. It systematically elaborates on the technologies and methods for monitoring, assessing, and predicting habitats of rare and endangered species within natural heritage sites using spatial information technologies. The book is divided into eight chapters, covering the following main topics: natural heritage sites and spatial observation, spatial monitoring technologies and methods for natural heritage sites, fine-scale information extraction technologies and methods for animal habitat elements, analysis of key environmental parameter changes in the surface characteristics of giant panda habitats, spatial observation and assessment of ecological environment changes in giant panda habitats, long-term remote sensing monitoring of post-earthquake habitat conditions and assessment models for ecological restoration, detailed assessment and response strategies for the impact of future climate change on giant panda habitats, and recommendations for the sustainable development of giant panda habitats.
